Updated 30th Sept 2020

From 30th September

Mixing or socialising with anyone that is not part of the
same household or support bubble in any indoor setting, including indoor areas of golf clubs, will be against the law from Wednesday (30th Sept).

People who break a new law against mixing socially, which comes into force on Wednesday amid a spike in Covid-19 cases, face a maximum £6,400 fine.

Table service will continue for members using the clubhouse and face coverings must be worn whilst waking around the club

From Monday 14 September, golf clubs should be cognisant of a change in the law which limits the size of indoor and outdoor group gatherings in England to six people.

On the course: Golf can continue to be played in accordance with existing ‘Play Safe, Stay Safe’ guidance. Groupings must not consist of more than six people.

Off the course: Clubhouses can continue to cater for multiple groups each containing a maximum of six people from different households. However, golfers in one group must avoid merging with golfers from another group to create a single gathering in excess of six people.

Society and team event organisers should take special care to ensure different groups of six from within their party do not merge to form larger groups before, during or after a round. Travel to and from golf venues should continue to be in accordance with government regulations.

We are awaiting further clarification on how the new rulings affect committee meetings and group coaching and will provide an update when available.

Coronavirus Update

As we are opening the clubhouse after a period of over 100 days  the following advice is shared to ensure both staff and members remain save minimising the risks associated with COVOD-19.

Members and guests are asked to enter the clubhouse using
the main entrance door. Where practicable doors will be wedged open and on arrival in the clubhouse please compete the Track & Trace register with your contact details and arrival/departure time.

The toilets will be open and this will be on a one in one
out system, this will involve asking the question “anyone using the toilet”? from the waiting point. Please be aware there is one cubical reserved for staff members.

The opening of the locker rooms will be reviewed during the initial stages of opening the clubhouse to see what measures can be put in place to minimise the touch points whilst balancing the security issues around leaving the locker/trolley store room doors open.

The main/upper lounge tables and seating have been arranged to allow comfortable social distancing. The outside space likewise with standing permitted in this area.
