The rule of six states "the only rule that people need to remember is to not participate in social gatherings of more than six people in any setting, indoors or outdoors".

I will be working with the club committee to examine each one of the protocols to ensure we comply with each one of the above as the lockdown restrictions begin to be eased

5th Jan 2021
The UK Government has announced a complete lockdown of England with immediate effect.

This means everyone must work from home where possible, except for critical workers, and it will supersede all local restrictions currently in place.

Golf clubs, golf facilities – both indoor and outdoor - and driving ranges will be required to close during this full lockdown. As such, coaching will not be permitted.

Golf retailers will be able to operate a click-and-collect service where goods are pre-ordered and either collected off the premises or delivered.

England Golf  – as part of the All-Party Parliamentary Group for Golf along with other leading industry bodies – is extremely disappointed with the news, having made a strong case in recent months to keep golf open during the national lockdowns and in the regional tier system.

It is with great regret that we share this news with you, but please be assured that we will continue to make the case for golf to reopen whenever possible.

The England Golf website and social channels are regularly updated and we will communicate any new information as soon as it is available.

Coronavirus Update

The bar and clubhouse opens from 11am on 4th July.

As we are opening the clubhouse after a period of over 100 days  the following advice is shared to ensure both staff and members remain save minimising the risks associated with COVOD-19.

Members and guests are asked to enter the clubhouse using
the main entrance door. Where practicable doors will be wedged open and on arrival in the clubhouse please compete the Track & Trace register with your contact details and arrival/departure time.

The toilets will be open and this will be on a one in one
out system, this will involve asking the question “anyone using the toilet”? from the waiting point. Please be aware there is one cubical reserved for staff members.

The opening of the locker rooms will be reviewed during the initial stages of opening the clubhouse to see what measures can be put in place to minimise the touch points whilst balancing the security issues around leaving the locker/trolley store room doors open.

The main/upper lounge tables and seating have been arranged to allow comfortable social distancing. The outside space likewise with standing permitted in this area.

Sanitiser and blue roll will be near the coffee machine and
take-away cups will be available together with sugar sachets.

“Queue here”, “Order and pay here” and “Collect Drinks”
notices will be displayed on the bar and where possible one person from each group should order the drinks (served on a tray). Contactless payment is preferred however cash can be used. Please leave empty glasses on the tables when leaving the clubhouse to indicate this table requires cleaning.

Crisps and a limited menu will be available including,
toasted teacake, bacon roll and a variety of sandwiches. One member of the bar staff will be at work so please be patient whilst they are working to serve members and visitors.
